Accidentals: Cyber Planet
Today marks a new beginning for the human race. Two hours ago International University's mic-bots landed on the moon and started rearranging its entire structure. In a few more hours, the moon will become the largest computer known to man.
You see in the year 2024 we have reached a plateau. We are unable to cram any more computer power onto small chips. Moore's law was scraped. The only way to increase computer power starting then is to utilize more space.
A recent breakthrough in protein development has allowed for programmatic creation of large structures in mere hours. The technology was first tested in China which is now home to two of the most beautiful sophisticated buildings my eyes ever laid on.
You may be wondering: why a computer as big as the moon? Well, technically it is the moon itself.!
Do your know history? Yes, the area of knowledge of past events. You most likely heard it from your parents, or maybe, as I do with my children, they have kept the story for themselves. Forgive us, it is a sour subject for many in my generation. Most of us lost our parents in the war of 2081. I shall not make you carry the burden which we carry, as it is known as the most gruesome occurrence in all of time.
But know this: a result of that war was a severe loss of recorded history, especially written works which at the end of the war crumbled into dust. What about Quantum stored narratives you ask? Those entered a state of eternal flux.
The plan is to use the lunar space to simulate all of history to piece together a more comprehensive story of the past.
