Unearthed: Thoughts: Chapter 1 part 4 Fear

I think I finally understand what "don't judge a book by its cover" means.  It applies to all sorts of situations, and it makes perfect sense in its literal meaning: a fancy cover is not necessarily an invitation to a great book. The opposite is also true: a simple unappealing cover can disguise a masterpiece. And yes, every once in a while you come across the book with the perfect cover.
Humans can also be hard to untangle. Sometimes they look very timid but are covertly mean. Simply put, human appearances are not a good measure of who they are. Worst case scenario is the government asks you to pay a huge tax due to a misunderstanding either on the side of the tax payer or collector regarding revenue or district laws!
There are, of course, less severe scenarios. I was told the following story sometime back by a relative. His friend at the time was a man looking for marriage. He found a girl he liked. They went on a few dates together. Or so he thought. One day, he proposed, but no avail. Turns out, the girl in question was actually male. They decided not to go through with marriage. So we can't really know a person's character, financial status, nor sex simply by their appearance. Is this a concern? Should we be on guard all the time?

Certainly life hides a lot of things. It keeps them to itself for its own reasons. We just need to make our own decisions based on our best judgement at the time. Whether you buy a book or not is up to you. You can always browse its contents before purchase. No one will stop you from reading the first half of it! As far as dating is concerned, you can always ask. Isn't that why people date!? To find out what they don't know regarding the person they are dating!? Life will continue the way it always did. Some people will change, others won't. Life will go on. The cycle will continue.
Yes, there are dozens of things which we, as humans, are afraid of. Let's face it: we do feel afraid of anything which we aren't accustomed to. Take for example: changing your place of residence for the first time. There are many things which you don't know about the place you are going to live. Are you going to take your chances? Are you going to make the move? This is up to you to decide. Take your time investigating the neighborhood before moving. Is it close to essential services? Hospitals? Cops? Is it noisy? Is it your only option? If it is, consider evaluating what you will not be able to adapt to. Can you make do? Then, you are ready to move on. Did you forget anything? Ask for advice. Many move. They can impart some valuable wisdom. They might even help you move. Take your time. Too much haste is a waste.
There is no time to waste being afraid. And as long as you follow common sense, what is there to be afraid of!? A doctor visit when sick, a lawyer appointment when needed…etc. What about death? We can't see it. What is there to be afraid of!? Will we not get resurrected in another life?
Some say yes, some say no. Is there a correct answer? Who is right and who is wrong? Only time can show us who was right. For now, all we have are opinions. Here is mine: No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't comprehend my existence whenever I tried to convince myself that there is no afterlife! Can life end up just like that!? Turning into dust and simply vanishing from existence?! Are we not a form of energy!? Isn't that why our bodies turn cold after death!? If so, where did this energy come from in the first place? Some will instantly answer, from our soul/spirit. But since such phenomena can't be reliably studied, our minds can't comprehend what will happen after-death.
The philosophy of cause and effect mandates that since we are creatures, there must be a creator. Some call it nature. Others call it coincidence. Some believe in a powerful existence. To this last group mere coincidence is not so coincidental. To them, coincidence is the name we give to destined events to which we cannot see a pattern. Luck if you will! What if nature was also orchestrated? What if the big bang was intentionally activated?
Some works of fiction imagine what it'd look like if the big bang was intentionally triggered. They propose the theory of humanity for servitude. Such is the case with the movie Prometheus. But let's not dwell on that topic.
Before I jump off, let me leave you with this thought: sooner or later Israel will dominate even the United States. Not that I know, but the technological advancements and cutting edge robotics seem to suggest this really small piece of land will achieve what England was about to achieve not too long ago: a complete control over major trading countries. It is kind of scary England still does to some degree. When did this young country grow so strong? Did we create our own monster?
