Accidentals: Non-historical Learning

Learning is an experience. It brings with it a form of joy. A few are those who appreciate lessons without learning.

First-hand experience changes our perspectives. Before an experience, a world may appear one way. After it, we can appreciate a difference. You'll hear others telling you about their experiences a thousand times but... it is not until you go through with the process that you gather knowledge that you can stand by.

After all, there is joy in learning. The precipice at which one arrives, finally recognizing their own naivete of the way they cast judgement on the world, is a moment of emotional revelation. It might be this joy alone that drives us to learn by experience instead of from experience.

If you are one of the few who can appreciate lessons from others' history, integrating knowledge without the process, I consider you lucky.
