Accidentals: Crossing Paths

However, the word "cross" in this context fails me. To cross something means that you will eventually pass the intersection to the other side. For example, when we cross a street, we go from not "meeting" the street, to being "with" the street, and, eventually, "leave" the street i.e., always "doomed" to diverge.
What people might fail to see is that life is more like rivers of energy floating in space. Paths can not only diverge, also converge! Paths do not necessarily cross. They can join! They can flow together the same way celestial bodies lock into a seemingly never ending dance.
